Energy Studies (Targeted & Comprehensive)

Targeted or comprehensive energy studies provide detailed analysis of facility systems, identifying energy conservation measures (ECMs) along with projected energy savings, cost impacts, and implementation considerations. These studies can focus on specific systems or evaluate the building as a whole to support informed capital planning and energy decision-making.

Energy Master Planning

Energy master planning evaluates current systems, future needs, and long-term goals to create a prioritized investment roadmap. These plans support decisions around infrastructure and operations to achieve cost-effective savings and reduced emissions. This is especially valuable for campuses and building portfolios, where coordinating investments across facilities and across time unlocks cost-effective energy and carbon reductions.

Clean Heating & Cooling Studies

Clean heating and cooling studies evaluate electrification strategies and low-carbon thermal technologies, such as air-source and ground-source heat pumps, VRF systems, and thermal energy networks. These studies focus on solutions that provide heating and cooling without fossil fuels, supporting building decarbonization and long-term system transitions.

Decarbonization Roadmaps

Carbon mitigation studies assess facility emissions and identify opportunities to reduce carbon impacts through system upgrades, operational changes, and procurement strategies. These analyses often include carbon benchmarking, evaluating multiple decarbonization pathways, and including energy conservation measures and their associated impacts. A decarbonization roadmap is a long-term, flexible plan to decarbonize your building or campus that can be updated as technology continues to evolve and costs continue to change.

Retro-Commissioning (RCx) Studies

Retro-commissioning evaluates how existing building systems are performing relative to design intent, operational needs, and maintenance practices, with a focus on energy efficiency. The process results in actionable recommendations to optimize system performance through operational improvements and targeted energy-saving measures.

Ongoing technical support to guide energy and carbon management across a building portfolio, including identification of opportunities and performance analysis. This service provides long-term partnership and strategic insight to help organizations achieve energy and emissions goals.

NYSERDA Funding Assistance

Most of the work I do is eligible for funding through the NYSERDA FlexTech program. Securing that funding is one of the first things I take care of on a project. I handle the application, the paperwork, and the coordination with NYSERDA so you don't have to.
